"Desire Lines: an interstitial chart" is a project that combines design, poems and images in the form of a large paper map - an interstitial chart.
The map itself is a kind journey - a rendered songline of encountered moments. The piece is folded up like a walker's map – similar to UK Ordnance Survey maps.
Enciphered from the east, Al Khwarazimi
Scores an equalibrium of balanced meters.
The words did not match the object,
Though both were genuine and correct,
Neither jungle book nor catalogue,
Could vindicate the actual amputation.
Gorse spikes buttery by the broom's lemon yellow,
Sun hazed scenting coconut...
Gracing lichen knapped greys.
Growing seasons gone
Held fast as a bridge.
Desire line - an outward and visible sign of an inner and different choice.
A miniature mock-up - actual size of finished chart will be A1! ... see also here
